How it works
When we started Puzzery, we made a commitment: offset 100% of carbon emissions from both production and shipping. Every single order.
For each puzzle we ship, we calculate the emissions from making it and getting it to you. We then set aside a portion of revenue to fund carbon removal through companies vetted by scientists at Carbon Direct - and we always round up. Any extra funds go toward developing new carbon removal technologies.
Our carbon removal partners
We partner with three companies that are actually pulling carbon out of the air. Not offsets. Removal.
Direct air capture using enhanced mineral carbonization. Instead of energy-hungry fans, they speed up the natural process of minerals absorbing COâ‚‚. The captured carbon gets locked into limestone permanently.
They partner with ranchers across 1.7 million acres of U.S. grassland to restore soil health through regenerative grazing. Healthy soil pulls carbon from the air and locks it underground - verified through deep soil sampling and third-party audits.
They convert plant waste into a stable, carbon-rich liquid and pump it deep underground. Out of reach from wildfires, soil erosion, or anything that might release it back into the atmosphere.
Why this matters
A puzzle is a small thing. The emissions from one order are tiny in the grand scheme.
But that's kind of the point. If every small business handled their small impact, it would add up. We're not going to solve climate change by ourselves - but we're not going to pretend our impact doesn't exist either.
I want my kids to hike the same trails I hike. To see the same forests. To breathe the same air. This is one way I can help make that more likely.
